There is a SECONDARY tornado season in the Midwest and South USA. Problem: if you think “we can’t have a tornado TODAY”, you risk missing important warning information. You’re responsible for making your family weather-ready. Have a plan, and a NOAA Weather Radio. #midlandusawx

While a High risk can grab headlines, it’s important not to take it any less seriously if you’re in a somewhat lower risk area. Strong to violent tornadoes are possible in the Moderate area too but either with less confidence or less widespread.

Monday may generate a significant tornado outbreak, especially in the area colored red (Moderate Risk), but anywhere in the yellow (Slight Risk) and orange (Enhanced Slight Risk) could see hail, straight line winds, and twisters. NOAA Weather Radio Saves Lives!

You should always have multiple ways to get weather alerts in case of emergency. One of those major ways -- through an NOAA weather radio -- will be down for the next few days, so it's more important than ever to have a backup! wvua23.com/news/alternati
