Shaun Lintern Wes Streeting Happy to pay tax, nowhere to hide on PAYE! Re: taper it's a perverse incentive & a government problem not ours. One issue though is that along with paying tax I expect my pay not to be eroded, also action needed on SPA time, OOH pay, burnout, we're not the unreasonable party.
Hey Resident Doctors where's my poll? I was looking forward to voting NO before work today. If I haven't got it yet, neither have regular members. NO time like the present! NO pay NO details NO employment guarantees NO thanks #FullPayRestoration DoctorsVote
Simon Myerson KC ✡️ Strike action has been shown to be safe and in many instances more efficient due to the cover of our most experienced doctors who are not striking What isn't acceptable is continued devaluing of an integral workforce and knock on effects
Fantastic effort by Chris Smith & team! Avg 9.9% pay uplift for 🏴 resident doctors. The 🏴 govt negotiated & avoided strikes with 9.9%. The 🏴 govt negotiated & didn’t get any strikes with an *extra* 4%. We’ve maintained all along we want to negotiate to avoid strikes in
Good news for doctors, patients and the NHS in Scotland. Spot the difference 🏴🏴. Strikes can and should be avoided, but they require politicians to negotiate seriously and in good faith, unlike Wes Streeting.
Alison Moore @alijanemoore also on Bluesky Resident doctor pay is already higher in Scotland (& Wales) than in England, and this deal, which is well deserved, will increase the gap further. See charts. Wes Streeting has no leg to stand on. If he doesn't want to match Ireland or Australia, what about the devolved nations?
I’ve posted my ballot back today. Resident Doctors you only have until this Monday to post your ballot back for it to be counted safely. If your ballot is sitting at home or in your bag, it’s effectively a no vote. Vote YES for jobs and pay. Post your ballot back now!
