Jane O'Hara Quality Forum 1. The ‘avoidable’ definition has always bothered me as it’s arbitrary.
2. The pursuit of zero harm will lead to risk aversion that creates its own harm (failing to treat because of perceived risk).
3. Better to focus on risk management than pretending h/c is not 100% fatal.

It's been a really tough week with my kids sick and lots of work demands, so I'm delighted to have made it to #Quality24 thanks to kind colleagues and husband who are holding the fort 😍. 🎉

It's that time of year when the house is overrun by seedlings and I start to suggest family members give up their space to make room for them. This is just a small sample.

When it comes to children, the choice is not whether to pay for needs to be met. It is pay now, or pay much more, later.
