These stupid debates over the historicalness of trans identities reminded me: I have 2 queer folks that I've wanted to research, but never had the time. So I thought I'd throw what I know out there, see what the internet can do. The first is a trans woman 'interviewed' in 1914..

This reminds me of how they used to talk about gay teenagers when they came out. Many of us were told that our sexuality was “just a phase” or that being gay was a “trauma response” and that we would live a life of “regrets” because homosexuality was a “dysfunctional lifestyle.”
