We are about to see the installation of a scoundrel as PM by a small cabal of ageing xenophobic golf club bores who will crash us out of the EU causing irreparable damage to our country and it canโ€™t be stopped. Think about that. Voters cannot stop Johnson and cannot stop no deal.

I know parliament can stop it but we canโ€™t. Thatโ€™s surely the point. Even if we want to. The highest stakes and the biggest decision since WW2 and we canโ€™t do anything at all to influence it unless the Conservative Party allows us.

I want to say well done to all our midwifery leaders, keeping women safe in these tough times and making decisions which are not always easy. Particularly our Heads of Midwifery and the senior teams who are keeping the ship steady, thank you.

Unless you have been a CNO, nobody will know what it is really like. Everyone has the right to ask questions, support or disagree & we all make mistakes. However using social media to bully @CNOEngland is not right. Remember the #BeKind hashtag so many were using recently? 1/2

Trump said in his corona conference today " you are lucky I was elected as there would have been a war with North Korea.. who knows it might be over now " The man is demented. Does anyone know the process of removing a president of the USA for being sick or insane. Piers Morgan

Working in a #continuity #CoC team not only brings an unrivalled depth of relationship with women and families, but also with your teamies. We truly care for each other and come together when times are tough #midwives #compassion #listentoeachother

Birth is social event, not medical. It is one of the signs of life. We have lost our balance. #continuityofcarer will help bring us back into kilter working closely with the MDT using our colleagues appropiately
