There’s a sad symmetry to Gove quoting Keegan - two of the most self absorbed chancers who bookend the start and almost certainly the end of an horrendous and damaging period in education.

A generation of children consequently failed due to a lack of teachers created by a generation of incompetent government ministers and a collection of serial sycophants.

My reflection from attending #LAK24 conference is how interesting it is to see the different international trajectories emerging in AI. If I were Bridget Phillipson The Labour Party I would be planning to invest significantly in R&D in this area for education or risk falling further behind.

Ok - a little more detail about the Kyoto international centre as this is a beautiful building. Fascinating wall art that is stunning. Views framed by brutalist concrete. Even the soap dispenser is a piece of art. #LAK24 was a great conference in an amazing venue!

Attending #lak24 and reminded that AI isn’t the panacea it is often portrayed -all the contentious questions and assumptions we have about intelligence, equity and ability in education simply become both more complex and nuanced.
