Not very often but yesterday i took a lunch break! I didnt have any lunch but I went with David Brown to present Ashton West End Primary Academy with the Mary Davies Trophy for the school who raised the most money for the Royal British Legion in Ashton for this years appeal. Amazing effort 👏 Thank you!

Today marks VJ78, were the military and civilian POWs were liberated. The bravest woman I knew - my mum and grandfather were among those liberated aged 12 when freed I don’t think she ever recovered from those years of torture and abuse at the hands of the Japanese
