Many colleagues are talking about the challenges we face with behaviour post-lockdown. Truancy, lateness to lessons and defiance can eat away at a school’s culture. The impact on pupils, staff and achievement can ultimately ruin the life chances of the most disadvantaged.

Really productive session leading the KS3 and KS4 team this week as we tracked our provision of viewpoint writing through the curriculum. Mapping out how the skills and knowledge build on each other, and ensuring that students have regular practice, was so useful.

Year 11 and Post 16 English Literature students attended a theatre production of The Kite Runner at Nottingham Playhouse today! The students had a wonderful time and were an asset to the school. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! 🎭
