Earl Hamner, creator & narrator of The Waltons, would’ve been 100 today. The photo on the left is Earl with Richard Thomas, who played his younger self on TV; the one on the right is with me in the kitchen of his original family home in Schuyler VA (2014). Earl passed in 2016.

Dad’s first factory was on the first floor of this building on Thomas Street in #Manchester He manufactured rainwear for Pakamac from here during the 1960s. I wonder what Dad would’ve made of CHANEL taking over Thomas Street yesterday evening for their prestigious fashion show.

We had our Lions Clubs British Isles bin emptied yesterday - of the 2481 pairs of glasses donated locally last year, 734 were from our Rawtenstall practice and another 491 pairs were donated in Haslingden. Thank you to everyone who has helped us to help this great cause. #recycling
