A beautiful evening yesterday on Gower was brightened even more by this stunning Golden O. One very active individual, but I didn’t manage to get any sight of the second bird. #GoldenOriole #glambirds #Gower #birds
After around 3 weeks of trying to convince myself that I should wait for a closer or more convenient Yellow-rumped Warbler, I finally cracked! And it didn’t disappoint! #YellowRumpedWarbler #Myrtle #ButterButt #Ayrshire
Yesterdays show from the Northern Waterthrush as it busily fed along the creek was more than most would have hoped for - its agility & ability to cling to a stem while thrusting itself towards prey items on the surface of the water was a real treat to watch. #NorthernWaterthrush
The Cape May Warbler was almost constantly feeding yesterday, taking advantage of the plentiful insect life around the beach. Providing the challenge of trying to get some flight shots as this busy little yank caught flies.

A few pics from yesterdays memorable Cape May Warbler twitch. Mega Bird, stunning location, problem free logistics, favourable weather and good company.

Had decent views of the Abberton Res Canvasback yesterday. The large flock was initially very distant & even when they flew closer, the density made picking it out pretty tricky. Thankfully the target bird was with a small group that broke away slightly.

At no point during the nervy wait this morning at Stodmarsh, did I expected the Solitary Sandpiper to fly in and perform quite as well as it did! Showing wonderfully, with a Green Sand for comparison too!

Snow Buntings are always gorgeous and seemingly always confiding, this individual was no different. It’s been at Nash Point since Saturday and an hour dodging the showers this afternoon was time well spent.

Whilst in East Yorkshire the chance to see the Rough-legged Buzzard at Stone Creek was an option I'm so pleased we took. Some great aerial displays and an amazing side cast of Ringtail(x2), MarshH(x3), BarnOwl, Kes, Merlin, SpHawk, Peri & Buzzard.

On Friday a plan to hit Flamborough Sat morning to see this grotty creature was hatched. Here's a few pics that show, despite its efforts, how rough its looking. Never the less, if it makes the grade will be warmly welcomed to the list!

With Flamborough already the planned destination for Saturday morning, the news on Friday evening about the Two-Barred Warbler was an enormously welcome bonus. We opted to target it first and it didn't disappoint.

Just had (like hundreds of other UK birders), an amazing couple of days in East Yorkshire. Some stunning (& not so stunning!) birds seen in quite an unforgettable weekend. #Flamborough #Yorkshire
Had opportunity to pop down to Baglan and see the Magnolia Warbler found at the weekend. Amazing to have such a mega just 20 mins from home and in such an unlikely location. Luckily showed well shortly after I got there.

A little twitch to Pembrokeshire this morning. No further words needed.

Took the chance at going for the AquaticWarbler in EastSussex yesterday, a bird I'd started to wonder if I'd ever get to see in the UK. It kept the pm crowd waiting, but eventually gave itself up.
