We’ve been part of putting together this report for the Council of Music Makers - pushing for a minimum digital royalty rate for all featured artists is just one of five changes we want to see for streaming
The UK Council of Music Makers have a five-point plan to fix streaming, and United Musicians and Allied Workers has been working hard on very similar goals in the US - points 1 & 2 are the focus of our resolution introduced to congress by Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, points 4 & 5 are part of our #JusticeAtSpotify demands
This is a very important development in our journey with UK government to reform the music economy. The FAC, Music Producers Guild, The Ivors Academy, Musicians' Union & Music Managers Forum with shared asks and a unified perpective on where we stand. #BrokenRecord Council of Music Makers

Movement is happening in the USA already on this. Tom was speaking in #SXSW2023 recently on it I believe. So yes, this is about pressure on UK gov to act. So yes, world wide reforms poss.
