โ€œCrushing blowโ€ commentary for Alex Yee when coming second - please letโ€™s not make the general public think our athletes are doing badly when coming second - think about what you are saying please ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Absolutely heartbroken ๐Ÿ’” finding it hard to believe this is even real. Hoping I wake up tomorrow and this is all a horrible dream ๐Ÿ˜”

Some great performances yesterday at the SEAA Competition Ltd champs in Kingston. Well done to William Hapgood, a first year u13 who ran 2:22 in his 800m heat and to Grace Colley who was just outside her PB in the girls event

And well done to @frankmcg88 who was agonisingly close to a medal but did come away with a new PB of 4:05 in the under 17 menโ€™s 1500m final ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

Just read the TCS London Marathon update email. It ain't going to work guys - you're essential asking 40,000 people to run with their mobile phones. Will definitely be needed up to/morning of the race, and afterwards - not practical #LondonMarathon

Itโ€™s sad to see how many athletics clubs nowadays are fundraising to improve their tracks so they can continue operating. Please check out WSEH AC crowdfunder and show some support! crowdfunder.co.uk/wseh-athletic-โ€ฆ

England Athletics Millom School Sports Labs Consult parkrun UK How is this going to boost performance sport/training? Do parkrunners really need an all-weather surface? Whatโ€™s wrong with existing pavements and footpaths? Why replace grass with rubber? Also not floodlit so not much use in winter?

England Athletics Millom School Sports Labs Consult parkrun UK That looks nice but would be better with floodlights and surely not at the expense of proper tracks and waterjumps, jump pits etc - I hope EA arenโ€™t saying this is the future of athletics

When is a track not a track? Are these unlit jogging trails a good idea? When did the focus shift so completely away from performance to mass participation? Worryingโ€ฆ.
