📸 Following our announcement earlier today that St Helens Linkway is to be renamed James Roby Way, St.Helens R.F.C. legend, James Roby, was presented with his very own sign during half-time of tonight's Saints vs Hull FC match at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

The public want their politicians to make decisions and get things done. I spoke in Parliament this week about the need for less talk and more action.

It was great to catch up with my old friend, Conor McGinn MP at today’s conference on the 75th anniversary of Ireland becoming a republic Liverpool Hope University. Also pictured are Dr Ruth Canning & conference convenor, Prof Bryce Evans.

Our borough consists of 2 towns; St Helens and Newton-le-Willows, and several villages; Haydock, Rainford, Rainhill, Billinge & Garswood.

The new coat of arms was designed in 1974, and each different part represents the different towns and villages.

There is a special connection and solidarity between our mining towns and villages in East Lancashire. It was a privilege to join labour and trade union comrades from St Helens to mark the 45th anniversary of the Golborne Mining Disaster which took the lives of ten men.

I recently joined our @merseysidepcc Emily Spurrell, local councillors and police officers in Rainford to discuss issues around crime and anti-social behaviour in the village.

Thank you to our fantastic Merseyside Police for all they do for our communities in St Helens.

Fantastic turn out for today’s event in Golborne marking 45 years since the pit disaster.

I was proud to attend alongside Labour colleagues and friends from St Helens and beyond 🌹

Thank you to all the organisers, and to all those who attended to pay respects.
