This is critical, should-win-Pulitzer journalism from Megan Fan Munce and Julie Johnson. Local governments in California are so deep in climate denial, it's costing everyone a lot of money. You're subsidizing fire sprawl, whether you live in it, or not. sfchronicle.com/california-wil…
Always cool to see The Diamondback alums writing bangers. Great work, Michael Errigo!
.Scott Ostler makes some great points here. Why do so many people assume Stephen Curry will play into his 40s? Just because he can? Feels like his decision to play in these Olympics — the last big thing on his career bucket list — was very intentional.
Very cool San Francisco Chronicle sent two reporters — not one, but two — to Paris to cover the Olympics. Stoked to read Ann and Ron’s coverage.
With Kamala Harris running for president, I will be shifting to cover her full time. We at the San Francisco Chronicle plan to bring our longstanding expertise to cover the heck out of this campaign, as I demonstrated on CNN. 📧 [email protected] cnn.com/2024/07/23/pol…
My guy Andrew Greif has been on quite the heater lately.
Fascinating chart here. The San Francisco Chronicle is navigating some rough waters very well.
Watching Olympic skateboarding, and reminded of this gem of a Nyjah Huston profile from John Branch. One of my favorite sports profiles ever. nytimes.com/2021/07/23/spo…
How a free running club is busting the anti-Oakland narrative. So proud of this project w/ Brontë Wittpenn. After 25 years at the San Francisco Chronicle, finally put in words what I love about Oakland 🌳❤️💯 Please check it out. The visuals are A++ Gift link! 🎁 sfchronicle.com/projects/2024/…
“I didn’t know what was going on with my head, just that it was wrong.” There are likely dozens of women’s athletes living with CTE. It just hasn’t been researched, leaving women like Hannah Hall to wonder and fear | San Francisco Chronicle sfchronicle.com/sports/article…
Fun read here from Eric Branch
This is very cool. When I was at The Diamondback, the idea of someone getting a full-time staff job at WaPo fresh out of UMD was unfathomable. Felt like those opportunities were reserved for Ivy Leaguers. Varun Shankar is over here raising the bar and inspiring the next generation.
Back to work today after three months of paternity leave. Forever grateful to the San Francisco Chronicle for that important baby-bonding time. Just another reminder of why I love working here.
