Here's what it looked and sounded like as this part of Hickman was draining. 2.45 inches of rain fell in just 3 hours, leading to localized flash flooding.

Massive (& record breaking) melt event over Greenland on 3 & 4 Sept. 2022 with close to 600,000 km**2 of melt area! This would be considered a significant melt event at the peak of the melt season...but in early September!?😲😬 #Greenland #ClimateEmergency Zack Labe Prof Michael E. Mann

Fire Weather Watch: Wednesday afternoon/evening. Big concern for rapid fire growth. Be vigilant in the fields tomorrow, avoid burning brush and NEVER dispose of cigarettes out the window. #iawx

🔥BIG field fire in Jasper Co. It sounds like several departments on scene trying to establish a perimeter. It’s near Baxter/Colfax/Newton. Smoke showing up on radar. Sending positive thoughts to the firefighters working it. If you have video/pictures, please share.

⚠️Weather Aware tomorrow for some light snow. Most see an inch or two...a few could see 3 or 4". Not much snow across western Iowa. First snow of season always slows down the drive to work or school. #iawx
