How can you *possibly* treat final year medical students so disgustingly, NHS England?

Are you actively *trying* to lose the doctors you still have?

I’m incandescent on behalf of these poor about-to-be doctors.

“Those of South Asian background, have a GP who has a 25% higher patient workload than a GP with patients from a white background”
Also, practice income is lower for these GPs as it’s harder to achieve targets . You can see why partners like me were forced to leave our practices

I don’t think this is a surprise . We need to act on these findings: GP does not have the funding, the number of GPs per patient is decreasing especially in deprived areas, and we are losing continuity by fragmenting care into disease hubs. RCGP needs to work on solutions

In case you are unaware. The shortage of GPs and other specialists is purposefully created.

A deliberate decision not to let doctors into the training programme.

A deliberate action to limit the number of trained doctors.

In this election year, it is a now-or-never…

I welcome Wes Streeting MP recognition of the increased workload for GPs, fewer practicing GPs & that they are not the problem for the so called ‘sick note’ culture.
GP practices being overwhelmed with more work & fewer GPs.

Tory govt has covertly signed a contract targeting 20% cuts to new education plans for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to bring down costs.

With a SEND son, I know the pain this will cause to so many children & families
