Records show 300 joining from the Aux Units to SAS. Mayne invited them to a cinema in London to watch a film on the SAS in 44 & then recruited them! Both regulars in the Scout Sections & civvy Aux. Some went on to make the ultimate sacrifice (look out for book 3 for more details)
