You can look at the full JADES GOODS-N region here on the newly created public FitsMap, courtesy of Brant Robertson (who also created the HUDF comparison in the first post!) and Ryan Hausen: jades.idies.jhu.edu/goods-n/?ra=18…

Do you want to see 30 years of progress in astronomy? On the left is the iconic 1995 Hubble Deep Field. On the right is (a portion of) the 2024 JADES GOODS-N Field, focusing on the same region, but going significantly deeper. It's an insane triumph of technology and effort.

Here's the size of the Hubble Deep Field compared to our JADES GOODS-N region. The Hubble Deep Field was a watershed moment in the mid-90s for our understanding of the distant Universe. We're in the middle of an even more profound revolution in astronomy thanks to JWST.

I just submitted a new paper! And this one heads back out to high redshift with a closer look at some very deep spectra of two of the absolute most distant galaxies currently confirmed: JADES-GS-z11-0 and JADES-GS-z13-0.

Here's a thread!

It’s been a year since our paper about the modest proposal for the non-existence of exoplanets came out. The data can be better explained by rotating squars (cuboid stars). See Figure 4 for an example of advanced simulations that already include squars.

In a luminous galaxy far, far away…

In one of the most distant galaxies ever observed, NASA Webb Telescope found the first evidence for a long-theorized first generation of stars, and the farthest active supermassive black hole to date: go.nasa.gov/3Tm7FKY

Webb may have found evidence for the long-theorized first generation of stars β€” as well as the most distant active supermassive black hole to date. GN-z11, a galaxy that existed 430 million years after the big bang, is giving up its secrets: go.nasa.gov/49AtIU0
