Although this looks like a collection of photographs of the lunar surface, it is actually a collection of radar images. Radio signals were beamed from the Arecibo Observatory, which bounced off the Moon to be captured by the @greenbankobserv Telescope.
While examining a discrepancy between data, Green Bank Observatory scientist Karen O’Neil discovered that the GBT was accidentally pointed to the wrong coordinates, thus finding this galaxy made only out of gas, with no visible stars.

Using ALMA Observatory📡, the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA), and the Green Bank Observatory Telescope, along with NAOJ's Subaru Telescope and the NASA Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) – scientists discovered 23 molecular clouds that showed a different type of star formation!
