Today we stood in the shadow of the moon, and basked at the atmosphere of a star some 93 million miles away.

Look how spiked and dynamic the corona is – sculpted by chaotic interfering magnetic fields that are constantly evolving in an elegantly cacophonous symphony. Grandeur.

Apparently eclipse eve insomnia looks like google mapping all the grocery stores and high schools (big parking lots) near IND airport. Our flight home is only 2 hours after totality.

My advice for totality:
A total solar eclipse is one of the most emotional events one can experience. Go. Be present. Ignore your devices. Don’t try to record it. Just be present. Soak it in. Cry. Laugh. Laugh-cry-happyscream. Feel your feels. You’re a part of the universe.

Every email from me and colleagues right now: “I see your request. I will try to get to it after the eclipse.”
