The Tories have abandoned ‘purdah’ or any pretence of it making propaganda films and loads of new announcements on social security ‘reform’ faith schools Rwanda etc etc etc ad infinitum - Cabinet Sec should have stopped it all

It's strange how a billionaire, who's literally stealing billions for his wife and father-in-law, is telling us that homeless people, asylum seekers and disabled people who have almost nothing are the problem

What is even stranger is that there are people stupid enough to listen

I celebrated May Day in one of the best places I know for lark listening. Years ago skylarks were trapped and caged for their beautiful song and sometimes even blinded, because people thought they sang better if they couldn’t see.

One of the places most associated with this time of year is Beltany Stone Circle in Donegal, as its name is thought to derive from An Bhealtaine.

This monument is set high on a Donegal hilltop with extensive views over the surrounding landscape.
