Absolutely love the fact that is a massive batcave and functions as a bat maternity unit for the South East, because its temperature stays the same 12/12 & bats otherwise would jettison their young in the Hibernian chill of winter. Strange magic, to stand in its darkness

This is a wonderful time of year for a walk in an Irish wood. The air is full of the scent of wild garlic, and the bluebells are magical!

We visited a lovely local spot at Mountain Grove in County Kilkenny this morning.

Do you have a favourite place for bluebells?

Just going through photographs from Tuesdays fieldwork in Kildare. The light was so perfect, it really showed off the carvings on the c1,000 year old high crosses.

Like this lovely little donkey at Old Kilcullen – LOOK AT HIS GIANT EARS! More than half the size of the humans! 🫏
