LUH is advising patients that the ED remains under significant pressure today. Yesterday saw a record 203 attendances in the ED causing increased pressure on bed availability As always, those who attend ED for routine and non-urgent treatment will experience long waiting times

The ED at Letterkenny University Hospital is extremely busy Very high numbers in the ED - 195 attendances yesterday - 122 attendances today The hospital is treating 19 patients with #COVID19 Our apologies to patients who are waiting a long time to be seen

Nurses are working in a system that has normalised over 500 people a day on trolleys. They have had little to no reprieve from overcrowding. This type of overcrowding must be immediately addressed by Government and the HSE.
