Bonus #FossilFriday , I believe this is a phyllocarid carapace (“Ceratiocaris” deweyii) from the Rochester Shale. Compared to another partial specimen I have, this one is rather small.
For this #FossilFriday , I am thrilled to announce my first publication! Today in Nature Communications we publish a new study enlisting phylogenetically-informed statistical models to conduct one of the most comprehensive tests of Bergmann's rule to date. 🧵
