Tomorrow, Friday May 12th, at noon, tickets go on sale for this month's public shows. We have a brand new show making its debut, "The Sun, Our Living Star." The amazing image of a solar flare that you see here was captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory.

Don't fret if you missed the James Webb Space Telescope one-year anniversary shows on July 12th. We now have our new ticketing site up and running, and we are hosting more JWST Anniversary shows on Saturday, July 29th! Our launch date is set for Friday, July 21st at 10:00 AM.

A friendly reminder to all of our fans - we have a new ticketing company, so you will have to create a new account and be signed in to have the best chance of grabbing our July 29th JWST show tickets. Sales go live tomorrow at 10am!

If you are currently having trouble purchasing a ticket for shows on the 29th, we want you to know that the site is not having errors. Our new ticketing system worked great, and we are already sold out! But don't be discouraged. We will be hosting many more JWST shows in August!

Our September show schedule is here, and we are ready to shine as brightly as the light of a thousand suns! This month, we are offering 12 different showtimes, featuring four different shows! Tickets go on sale Tuesday, September 12th, at noon.

This may look like a freshly made crater on the moon, but what you are seeing is actually the three-and-a-half billion year old Shackleton crater from the south pole of the moon. Because of its location at the pole, this region of the moon never receives direct sunlight.

Come out to Sac State the morning of Saturday, October 14th to catch the eclipse! We will have telescopes set up, eclipse glasses available, crafts for kids, pin hole viewers, and a special planetarium show all about eclipses running all morning. Best of all, everything is free!

Can we make a social media post about Uranus without making jokes? You bet your butt we can! This image from the rear end of our solar system is one example of the amazing photos you can see at the Sac State Planetarium. Tickets go on sale Thursday, January 11th, at 12:00 noon.
