Vile misogyny like this has no place in our society, let alone in broadcast media. If you agree, please take time to write to Ofcom about this: ofcomlive.my.salesforce-sites.com/formentry/Site…

Listen to Women Before Saying "Not All Men". (I know that many of us feel hurt when men in general are blamed for violence against women. It’s true, not all men hurt women. But consider what it means to walk through the world with male privilege.) huffpost.com/archive/ca/ent…

Four women are set to take Andrew Tate to court in the U.K. with claims of rape, coercive control and choking. One part of the allegations describes how Tate choked them "until blood vessels burst in their eyes". This is truly sickening. bit.ly/3PT81an

👇👇👇 a child must be made available for contact even if it is against the child’s will but if the other parent decides not have contact because they are away, busy, out etc then that’s no issue. The bias of family court!

According to a recent report by the UN, parental alienation allegations are often used by abusers to destroy reports of emotional, sexual, and physical abuse in court. This leads to the re-traumatisation of domestic abuse victims and a safeguarding nightmare for children.

I told the Government I would be back. Things have not improved for women…it’s actually worse. I’m angry at all the resistance across the last two decades to such a common sense approach to dealing with perpetrators who steal and take lives Laura Richards BSc MSc MBPsS

I emailed the court asking for appeals and help when I was an LIP and was ignored little did I know then that the magistrate at the time put a reserve on the case so my pleas went only to them of course they mysteriously went missing! #FamilyCourt #16days

When such serious offences are treated minimally how do we expect other types of abuse like financial/emotional/mental abuse be handled in anyway at all. Victims suffer life sentences from all forms of abuse but they are let down even when it’s obviously horrific! #DomesticAbuse

The presumption of contact is what drives the court to tell victims that "it doesn't matter" what he's done. He's getting unsupervised time with the kids anyway. The presumption entitles him to keep his victims in court for years, to torture them for years. It's got to stop.

Charlotte Budd (@buddcharlotte) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The presumption of contact enables abuse and allows control to continue m. It makes the courts and child tools to inflict that abuse and control. Victims deserve to be free from their abuser #16DaysActivism #FamilyCourt

Christmas can always be tricky after #DomesticAbuse because it has left a wake of destruction in its path especially where children are involved. But I also look back and I’m so glad I escaped and I am where I am now.

I'm proudly supporting the Right to Equality campaign to end the presumption of contact. It's an honour working with this stellar bunch (see the thread!)

We end our Survivors Voices campaign with Charlotte Budd. Her story illustrates that the end of an abusive relationship is seldomly the end of the actual abuse. But Charlotte’s story is one of hope for the future. You can read her story here: eida.org.uk/charlottes-sto…
