Pleased to see the change to the law which will (once commenced) finally stop the imprisonment of children in Scotland and extend the welfare based Children’s Hearing system to all children.

Well done to everyone who has worked so hard to achieve these long overdue protections.

An important moment as the care and justice (Scotland) bill is passed. Once implemented will mean all 16 & 17 year olds can be supported by the Children’s Hearing System, and 16/17 year olds cannot be sent to a young offenders institutions- parliament.scot/-/media/files/…
