There are enablers and limiters to how we teach and these are wholly distinctive to subject. This is excellent and ensures that we avoid stipulations that attempt to state one subject can be taught just like the next, and the next..

That's just great. Unfortunately it is hopelessly impractical for a classroom teacher with 30 students who has to get them to understand algebra. Telling teachers they have to magically psychoanalyse bad behaviour away is like telling a drowning man to breathe water.

It blows my mind that I had the same number of TLR holders as a HOD in a dept of 12, 11-18, 1400+ kids… as I do now with a school and dept half the size. It’s amazing what this can do to efficiency and productivity.

Personal bugbear. WHY would you use last year's Literature papers for a mock exam? That's the ONE question that you KNOW isn't coming up in the Summer! All the work and marking and feedback and improvement...why waste it on a Q that won't come up?!?!

Teacher has just shared their timetable with me. 10 minute morning break, 30 min lunch, full TT back to back lessons. Pretty much 8.30am to 4pm day plus meetings etc. I know this is common cos I've done similar, but it ain't sustainable for many.
