Why do we ask our BLS clinicians to operate without a critical assessment tool, and the best tool to monitor/verify the effectiveness of the BVM ventilation? The b̶a̶s̶i̶c̶ fundamental skill of BVM is difficult even w/ proper tools. Time to bring this to the BLS scope #NAEMSP2024

Yes, and it is now the standard of care and basis for all non-cardiac arrest intubations based on @OMD_MAEMSA protocols for MedStar EMS Alerts and the MAEMSA system. Excellent very early results here and building on Jeff Jarvis’s work at Williamson countyems.
