It is a terrible indictment of our state and Dublin City Council that Lord Iveagh had to intervene here. Embarassing that we cannot be trusted with our own built heritage.

It should also be noted that there is significant evidence of Late Bronze Age activity around the Rock of Cashel. Found with 3/4 gold bracelets this unique bobbin-type ear-spool is decorated with solar motifs. The importance of a deposit @ this location should not be understated.
