Our publication appears. Congratulations to Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) Cheryl Arrowsmith & Rachel Harding Bijan Mirabi + many others Discovery and Characterization of a Chemical Probe Targeting the Zinc-Finger Ubiquitin-Binding Domain of HDAC6 pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…
Way to go Bijan Mirabi on a Silver Medal poster at OMCOS. You did the The Lautens Group proud yet again.
It’s a wrap. PhDone for Dr Bijan Mirabi Bijan Mirabi #57 Heading off to a top job in industry straight from his degree. He did it all, synthesis, computation, medicinal chemistry with Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) catalysis, methodology and mechanism. Sad to see you go.
Ni-quinone 📖 Part 2 is online J. Am. Chem. Soc.. Yeongyu Hwang designed a quinone ligand to enable 1,2-carboamidation via nitrenoid transfer. Using DFT, he traced the origin of enhanced reactivity to hemilability & ⏫ electrophilicity during migratory insertion. tinyurl.com/yus89484
Check out our latest paper in J. Am. Chem. Soc. to access bis-heterocycles via palladium catalysis. A great collaboration with Alan Aspuru-Guzik to study the photophysical properties. Congratulations to Ramon Arora, Bijan Mirabi, Andrew Durant, Carlota, and Austin. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…
If you are interested in C(sp3)-H activation with Nickel, check out our latest review in #Synlett. A special issue dedicated to Keith Fagnou, written by Colton Johnson, Shangyu Li, Ramon Arora, Bijan Mirabi and Mark Lautens OC. thieme-connect.com/products/ejour…
Excited to share that one of my Ph.D. projects on photoinduced Ir-nitrene transfer has now been published in Angewandte Chemie! A result of fruitful collaboration with Prof. Hyotcherl Ihee's group (KAIST Chemistry, @ibs_media) | onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/an…
We are looking more and more like heterocyclic chemists (nematocide chemists). Thanks to Peter J. Roy and the entire team including Justin Ching from The Lautens Group who did the synthetic work. So many other collaborators! Igor Stagljar …. nature.com/articles/s4146…
Arguably the coolest chemistry we’ve uncovered yet ChemRxiv, especially given that it’s with just one metal!! 🤯Fantastic work by Stas Melnikovᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠᅠ and first of many collabs with Baik Group | Hydride as a Leaving Group in Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution | - go.shr.lc/3ycdkeL
