A saturated NHS GP job market - with woefully low number of GPs - is a dire state to be in.

Terrible for patients who so desperately want/need GP care, terrible for GPs wanting to work/provide care.

Governments need to wake up to this deepening crisis & back General Practice.

Patient prescribed an FP10 from hospital- welcome but so rare - makes such a difference to the patient who can collect the prescription without needing to see the GP and get a repeat after a month. Needs to be the norm for all clinics but even better if hospital FP10s via EPS

The 4 hr target at 78% is making this situation worse.
Organisations can now focus all their efforts/resources, ensuring dischargable patients meet the target. They have no incentive to sort out long ED waits for admission despite these being the group with increased mortality
