Berkeley firefighters rescued a hiker Friday who slipped off a trail into a creek just below a small waterfall. Fire crews “converged on the scene to treat, package, and extricate the patient using a rescue rope system,” BerkeleyFirefighters said. They shared this video.

Just after 9pm, Oakland Fire joined units from BerkeleyFirefighters, East Bay Regional Park District and Con Fire PIO to stop forward progress and contain a vegetation fire near Centennial Drive & Grizzly Peak.
