Con Fire crews will remain in downtown Concord for most of the evening at the 2-Alarm Fire on Sunset and East Street. We flowed 5,400 gpm for over 2.5 hours before making knock down. The building was vacant and no injuries were reported. Please avoid this area.

Rescue: This morning at 11:11, crews responded to El Sobrante for an animal rescue. Magic Ben, the horse, found himself stuck in the mud on a steep slope. After almost 4 hrs, firefighters were able to remove mud/branches and pull him out and reunite him with his owner.

Crews working on salvage and overhaul while working to return residents to their homes. Units to remain on scene, continue to avoid the area.

Con Fire Station 14 in Martinez will be temporarily closed for construction beg. April 3. Crews will be relocated to former Fire Station 12 in Martinez at 1240 Shell Ave during this time. Estimated 90 day closure for repairs of failing concrete in app bay and drive way.
