Earlier this week we had the great pleasure of receiving students from M.M. Robinson HS for some fun microscopy activities! We looked at all sorts of samples that ranged from individual cells and their organelles, to tissue sections and whole organisms.

It’s day 7 of Janelia’s imaging bootcamp and it’s been an amazing learning experience so far, diving deep into various topics from image analysis, to super-res techniques and optical sectioning. A huge thanks to the AIC at Janelia team for putting such a fantastic course together!

After two exciting weeks full of microscopy and analysis, #IALSJanelia 2024 has come to an end 🔬 We wish all the participants safe travels home!

Aidee Arizpe Tafoya wins 1st place Aidee Arizpe Moran-Mirabal Group with a beautiful image of human lung fibroblasts that have been cultured on a hydrogel tissue model, where the expression of F-actin (yellow) and α-SMA (magenta) suggests their differentiation into myofibroblasts.
