Deputies Blanding and Reyes from the Lauderdale Lakes district responded to a call of a suspicious car in a parking lot. What they found inside a mother and her six-year-old son sleeping. They got the mother and her son a hotel room for the week and food to last a while.

Making a difference beyond the flames and the call of duty. Today, 8-year-old Rodensky Belval reunited with the firefighters who pulled him and his family from the rubble after their West Park home exploded just days before Christmas. The community came together in the best way!
