Broad coalition praised the filing of new bill to #bantoxicPFAS. Filed by @katehogan Julian Cyr will be one of the nation's strongest laws to protect public from PFAS contamination. bit.ly/3YdtDiW Clean Water MA Massachusetts Sierra Club PFAS Action Group عِلم LWV Massachusetts & many more.
Great news. While VT is first, Josh S. Cutler State Senator Susan Moran filed the clean lighting bill to phase out fluorescent light bulbs in MA. - cutting mercury pollution, saving money, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. thehill.com/homenews/38491…
Go Vermont! Massachusetts, let's follow suit and get the clean lighting bill passed, filed by Josh S. Cutler State Senator Susan Moran- it would be a big step for energy efficiency, public health & savings on utility bills.
Great series @MoranWriter, Gabrielle Emanuel RE: #toxicPFAS. We must stop the problem from getting even worse by banning its use in so many products- food packaging, clothing, makeup, cookware &more. Kate Hogan Julian Cyr filed bill to do that-bit.ly/3Xv4dfO #MustActQuickly.
Thank you Sean Garballey for dropping by the MASSPIRG Student Chapters Environment Massachusetts lobby day for 100% renewable energy today. The hat looks great on you! #go100MA
Let’s go 100%! 14 students from MASSPIRG Student Chapters met with 18 legislators and their offices to discuss #cleanenergy, last Friday. Inspired by their tenacity & passion for a cleaner future for MA.
Spoke with the Boston Globe's 𝕯𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖓𝖆 𝕹𝖔𝖔𝖗 for this story, which reminds us that many "red states" have enormous opportunities (which, in some cases, they have taken advantage of) when it comes to renewable energy: bostonglobe.com/2023/03/08/sci…
Pleased to be quoted in this 𝕯𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖓𝖆 𝕹𝖔𝖔𝖗 story alongside Joshua Basseches (joshuabasseches.bsky.social). Renewable energy is booming in red states, but Massachusetts can catch up! First step: Governor Maura Healey should commit to 1 million solar roofs by 2030. bostonglobe.com/2023/03/08/sci…
It's "no accident" that Massachusetts is leading on solar power, said Ben Hellerstein. "It’s because of policies that were put in place on the state level more than a decade ago to support solar energy." bostonglobe.com/2023/03/08/sci…
Last week's clean energy lobby day was a big success. Students from Student PIRGs met with 18 legislators and their offices to discuss #cleanenergy legislation. Thanks Sean Garballey and Marjorie Decker for leading the way with the 100% Clean Act!
Massachusetts could install 10 gigawatts of solar — the equivalent of one million solar roofs — by 2030. Together with local officials, environmental advocates, and business leaders, we're asking Governor Maura Healey to go big on solar. eagletribune.com/news/merrimack…
Thank you Marjorie Decker and Sean Garballey for leading the charge on transitioning our state to 100% renewable energy! #go100ma
Passing Marjorie Decker & Sean Garballey's 100% Clean Act will mean a safer, healthier future for all of us. Today we joined Union of Concerned Scientists Vote Solar and MASSPIRG to relaunch our campaign to power Massachusetts with 100% clean energy. #Go100MA
Haven't been on here much recently, but for those who don't know: I wrapped up my work with Environment Massachusetts a few weeks ago and I'm about to start a PhD program in public affairs at Indiana University. Sad to be leaving Massachusetts behind but I'm excited for a new adventure!
