Rearing coral larvae for larval coral restoration! 🪸🐣 After successful collection of coral spawn, we first hold the gametes (eggs and sperm) in a fertilisation tub, using gentle stirring to keep them evenly distributed while they fertilise 🥚

When enough coral larvae in our rearing pools are ready to settle — to find their forever home on the reef and metamorphose into a coral polyp — we move to the next stage of larval coral restoration. 🪸✨
