I confess, when I hear the WHO say “We will continue to see waves of COVID19, the virus is still evolving… we do not yet have a predictable pattern of evolution, we don’t have seasonality, we are at risk for more severe variants” it sounds to me like the emergency isn’t over.

I hate it here. (@anxiouscatmom) 's Twitter Profile Photo

"Are you going to wear a mask forever?" Dude that's not even in the top 1000 things I'm bummed about doing forever. I have to wash my dishes forever. Brush my teeth forever. Do laundry forever. Wearing a respirator forever is nothing.

Hey, remember how Peter Dutton walked out of Parliament because he didn’t want to be part of the Apology to the Stolen Generation? Because you should, each and every time he opens his mouth about how the Voice is too gosh-darn much.

Just another reminder for those of you that have forgotten, prisoners serving a sentence longer than three years can’t vote in this referendum. That means mob can’t have a say in their own future…their voices are snuffed out in a vote about whether they can have a voice … 🤷🏽‍♀️

Conducting my own poll here. Whenever I tweet about Voting Yes in the Voice Referendum I get hundreds of negative replies. But loads more likes. So I’m gonna turn off the replies and simply ask you to give this tweet a like if you’re gonna vote yes. Over to you. Feel free to RT

The Norwegians have had the Sami Indigenous Parliament for years. The Canadians have Section 35 in their Constitution regarding Indigenous peoples for years. Aotearoa New Zealand has the Treaty of Waitangi for years. Honouring First Nations Peoples will not harm you.

I’ve only seen vandalised YES signs with ugly NOs spray painted over them. Such a representation of the No philosophy - don’t create your own thing, just wreck other people’s work. #VoteYes23 #VoteYES23Australia #VoteYes

Here’s the thing. Your government is formally advising you what you should be doing. They’re not shouting about it, they don’t want the masses to actually know about it. They want them carrying on like it’s 2019 But they are advising the few who still do that ‘thinking’ stuff! 🧵

When you are traveling this week, please wear a mask! Aside from the many potential long term health impacts viruses can cause, it really sucks to be sick over the holidays. One of the best ways to protect yourself and others is by wearing a high quality mask!

It’s never too late to start taking precautions. Please don’t assume because you’ve had Covid multiple times there’s “no point”. Every infection avoided is crucial for health. Mask up. Clean the air. Test & reduce indoor gatherings. Stop getting Covid.

After waiting really too long to start it, I’ve really enjoyed reading @premeesaurus The Annual Migration of Clouds. Great world-building, fascinating protagonist, interesting metaphors and a gripping story. Definitely worth your time!

Aw man, a house I lived in when I was at uni is on this list. It was a bit of a wreck at the time (there were plants growing in through the study!) but the rent was cheap. We got kicked out so the landlord could renovate and re-lease it at 4x the rent. And now it’s empty again.

If only we lived in a country with lots of sparsely populated land, year-round sunshine, endless windy coastlines, established solar, hydro and wind industries, and billions of dollars of private investment lined up and ready to go.
