While our other allies are cutting their energy ties with Russia, Turkey is once again embracing them. Erdogan has shown time and time again that he is not aligned with our country. We must reevaluate our relationship with Turkey. nytimes.com/2022/12/09/bus…

Rep. Frank Pallone (@frankpallone) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Erdogan's dangerous rhetoric is unacceptable. We cannot allow him to threaten another NATO ally without consequences.   The U.S. should not provide Turkey with F-16s or any other military equipment, because it will only divide the alliance and reward his reckless behavior.

Azerbaijan has unlawfully held Armenian POW Vigen Euljekian captive for more than 2 years. The Aliyev regime has subjected him to inhumane treatment and various human rights abuses.   Department of State and UN Human Rights Council must take action to protect his life and the lives of all Armenian POWs.

Closure of the Lachin Corridor has severe humanitarian implications and sets back the peace process. We call on the government of Azerbaijan to restore free movement through the corridor. The way forward is through negotiations.

Azerbaijan's hostile actions in Nagorno Karabakh are deplorable. The Azeri blockage of the sole road connecting the people of Artsakh to Armenia poses huge risks to vulnerable populations. Statement from the Co-Chairs of the Congressional Armenia Caucus.⬇️pallone.house.gov/media/press-re…

The reports of Azerbaijanis blocking the sole road connecting the people of Artsakh to Armenia pose risks to vulnerable populations. (1/2)

This morning, I asked Karen Donfried, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, about the specific steps the United States is taking to end Azerbaijan’s blockade and heating fuel cut off in Artsakh. (2/2)

I strongly condemn Azerbaijan’s ongoing aggression against the Armenian people & urge an end to all hostilities. The U.S. remains committed to providing crucial humanitarian aid & I call on Azerbaijan to lift all blockades to ensure these life-saving materials can be delivered.

By preventing movement through Lachin Corridor & reportedly cutting off the natural gas pipeline, Azerbaijan is creating unacceptable & untenable humanitarian risks for the people of Artsakh. U.S. must continue to press for access to be restored & for negotiation to resume.

Azerbaijan has blocked access to Artsakh and cut off the gas supply — removing the primary source of food, heat, hot water, and electricity for the Armenians who live there. We must halt security assistance to Azerbaijan in the face of this aggression against civilians.

Glad to see my colleagues held a hearing today to ask important questions of Department of State and ensure sound U.S. policy in the Caucasus. We must push for a foreign policy that supports democracies and stands up against human rights abusing regimes like Aliyev in Azerbaijan.

Rep. Tony Cárdenas (@repcardenas) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Azerbaijan is once again demonstrating a reckless willingness to put civilian lives in danger by blockading the Lachin Corridor and cutting off essential supplies to the Armenian population in Nagorno Karabakh.

Rep. Tony Cárdenas (@repcardenas) 's Twitter Profile Photo

The United States must make it clear that the continued dehumanization and endangerment of Armenians by Azerbaijan is unacceptable.

We are deeply troubled by the Turkish court’s verdict against Istanbul Mayor @Ekrem_Imamoglu. His sentence is inconsistent with respect for human rights, fundamental freedoms, and the rule of law. state.gov/turkeys-convic…

I am deeply disturbed by #Azerbaijan's blockade along the corridor linking #Artsakh to #Armenia - a grave humanitarian crisis and the latest act of aggression by #Azerbaijan against the sovereignty of Armenia and the Armenian people. My full statement ⬇️ sherman.house.gov/media-center/p…

Deeply troubled by the blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh and the humanitarian implications on vulnerable populations in the region. Department of State must engage in robust diplomacy to end this needless suffering and continue working towards a multilateral peace process.

In her farewell calls with Armenia’s leaders, Amb Tracy praised the positive trajectory of the 🇺🇸🇦🇲partnership and underscored US support for Armenia’s sovereignty and independence.  She also reiterated U.S. position on restoring free movement though the Lachin corridor.

Azerbaijan's unjust and immoral blockade of the sole road that connects Artsakh to Armenia must end. 120,000 innocent civilians in Artsakh are now trapped -- without access to gas, food and medical supplies. Baku's campaign of aggression against Armenia must be stopped.

Senator Jacky Rosen (@senjackyrosen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I strongly condemn the closure of the Lachin corridor and the reported denial to the region of gas supplies, which are used for home heating. This could have serious humanitarian consequences for the Armenian people, and I urge a deescalation of tensions.
