We have installed a SPA-2/SNOdar setup in a valley outside of Longyearbyen. The increasing frequency of rain-on-snow events midwinter has led to amplified slushflow risk. With this installation, we improve the understanding of slushflow processes and slushflow hazard forecasting.

Sensors as a tool in risk management was today's topic in our monthly meeting with the ArctRisk local reference group. Presentastions by @TelenorGroup at Svalbard and UNIS . Antonia Radlwimmer presented results for her master thesis on snow depth measurement.
