Led my first book study @AmethystPDS ! Great discussion around the Simple View of Reading and the need to gather more info when a S is not showing reading comprehension. A weakness in either decoding or language comprehension will lead to difficulties with reading comprehension!

OYAP travelling experience was a great opportunity for our students to try out skills from the trades. Ss were able to try electrical, automotive, welding, and heavy machine operating among various other skilled trade activities.

Thank you to Kali from the Toronto Zoo's Great Lakes Program for educating us on Mussels. I think many of our Ss learned a lot about this unique endangered species! They were especially keen to learn about ways to preserve our local ecosystems!

Ss had a blast on Thursday! We sent 3 teams to EC Drury to participate in a Soccer tournament. My favourite moment from the entire day was our sister school Trillium cheering us on! We were all smiles on the bus ride home with gold, silver and bronze medals. AmethystPDS
