I had a great time scouting some of the locations, and helping out with others last year. The scale of the series is huge!

I couldn't agree more. What a brilliant production! Not only is it social history, but the exploration of different relationships and expectations is a masterclass.

I'm delighted that this amazing series is being celebrated again! To have been involved with this in a very small way has been great. I can't wait to see the new documentary.

This is a hugely positive development. Obviously they could do with any donations so if what they’re doing is up your street and you have a little cash to spare…

Thora Hird's performance in Alan Bennett's Talking Heads is always singled out, and quite right too. But Patricia Routledge's performance as Irene Ruddock in A Lady of Letters breaks your heart. I've never forgotten this scene. Patricia was an incredible dramatic actress.

So I'm doing a Doctor Who Advent Calendar this year because I clearly don't have enough to do (I DO have enough too do - too much... I'm just an idiot). patreon.com/posts/advent-c…

Please listen to Absent Friends (in which I remember contributors to sci-fi, horror and fantasy who left us this year) on Radio 4 Extra at 16.45 (repeated at 00.45). Part 2 is tomorrow. 4 Extra doesn’t make many original productions so do tune in, it’s a labour of love.

I can only imagine the time this video takes Toby every year. It is a beautiful tribute to so many talented people on both sides of the camera, who have worked on Doctor Who, amongst other many things.

I've been writing again for the magazine, celebrating the one and only Tom Baker MBE! It was such an honour to be a tiny part of a very special day, thanks to dear friends. #DoctorWho #TomBaker #DoctorWhoMagazine

Alex Moore’s recount in Doctor Who Magazine of Tom Baker’s MBE ceremony is a must-read. That’s great to see that there were so many lovely fans there to applaud him on behalf of us all 👏🏼👏🏼

PLEASE RETWEET: OK, it’s ‘possibly’ not the Doctor Who episode topping everyone’s missing episode wish-list… but I’ve brought THE SPACE PIRATES Episode One back to life! 🚀 Think of it as an appetiser for The Daleks’ Master Plan on iPlayer this weekend! 😍 Watch here:

These videos are always fascinating, but this one is even more so, as it is totally unexpected. I can only imagine the time that goes into these.

Oliver does this so brilliantly. And this is why connecting to the past is such a lovely thing. It’s not just finding the missing shows : it’s what they represent to the people in them (and their loved ones).

What a great day at Spearhead. Thanks to Ian and Jo for a wonderful day. And many thanks to my wonderful wingmen: Alex, Gary, Martin and Pete. Thank you also to everyone who came to have a photo taken and for all the kind words I received. I'm very happy that you like your photos
