Due to years of disinvestment, the athletic field at August Martin High School has been left in a state of disrepair.
Today, we broke ground on a new project to overhaul the facilities, including a new multi-sport turf field, a modern fieldhouse, bleacher seating, and much more.
Older adults deserve to live with dignity, and the Rochdale Village NORC provides vital services to support their health & safety.
Today, I toured their facilities to learn more about their programs & discuss how we can continue to support their critical work in #TheGreat28 !
It was my honor to celebrate Yusef Abdus Salaam’s inauguration. His story continues to inspire us all, and his voice of moral clarity should stir us to adopt a vision of justice and safety.
I have no doubt he will help us build a city where justice prevails.
