I had constituents walk in to my office today and every day… we love it and welcome it! They depend on us to reach them quickly to solve real problems

Today I honored two outstanding Puerto Rican Veterans in #CD18 - Vickie Bello & Charles Hernandez.

This is the first year NYC will recognize April 13 as Borinqueneers Day! Vicki and Charles are a key part of the Borinqueeneers legacy and I’m proud to honor them for their service.

#BlackMaternalHealthWeek reminds us of the inequities in maternal health outcomes that disproportionately affect Black women and birthing people.

To confront these stark inequities, we must continue to advance progress through critical investments & policy solutions.

As Chair of the Economic Development Committee I joined Mayor Eric Adams, Andrew Kimball & Council Member Francisco Moya for an announcement on the upcoming transformation of Willets Point!

I look forward to continuing to work on this project to ensure it is truly serving our local economy.

With a vacancy rate below 1%, the lowest-cost apartments are virtually nonexistent in NYC. That’s why I focused on deeper affordability in my State of the City. The new text for ZHO better reflects the need for deeply affordable housing, and we look forward to fully reviewing it.

Together, we can win a more sustainable NYC if we invest in green union jobs, solar, non-polluting buildings, and #GreenHealthySchools .

From hosting important events, providing essential resources, to having state-of-the-art teen centers for our kids- cutting funding to our libraries is a non-starter. Always proud to support our NY Public Library system!

My office was happy to meet with members of the #ClimateWorks coalition to discuss the urgency of the climate crisis and how electrification of our schools is central to protecting our communities.

At today’s #Stated meeting Majority Leader Farías was a proud co-sponsor of 3 bills that passed and a prime and co-prime sponsor on 8 bills that were introduced.

These bills focus on issues including a task force on vehicles registered out-of-state, language access, and more.

Every month my office hosts dedicated days for free family law clinics in coordination with Urban Justice Center.
