As part of #GarifunAdvocacyDay , a delegation comprised of #AlianzaAmericas ’ members—CASA YURUMEIN, Hondureños Contra el SIDA, Hijos de Livingston, Organización Negra Centroamericana (ONECA), Familias Unidas en Acción, & CARECEN-DC — visited Chuck Schumer’s office today to ask him to advocate for #TPS for Honduras & Guatemala.
Our members — CASA YURUMEIN, Hondureños Contra el SIDA, Hijos de Livingston, Organización Negra Centroamericana (ONECA), Familias Unidas en Acción, and CARECEN-DC — also met with Congressman Chuy García to share their stories and highlight the challenges facing Garifuna communities in the U.S. and in their home countries.
