The dream of Paul Farmer is becoming a reality here in Koidu, Sierra Leone, where Build Health International is building the Maternal Center of Excellence, with 65% of the workforce women, this is an absolutely extraordinary endeavor. 🇸🇱

“It may seem wrong that, after more than 30,000 Palestinians in have perished, it took the deaths of just 7 intn’l aid workers to stir Western govts into a sense of outrage, but that is the reality…The moment has come to do whatever it takes to force Israel to end its war”

Maybe this Holy Saturday, dark as it is, I need to think of Haiti as a seed hidden deep in the ground, buried but holding the promise of new life. Beyond Borders

What I will wish them on this Holy Saturday is Sabbath Peace - peace from the violence, peace from the fear, peace from the grief and trauma, the hunger and thirst, and everything else that robs them of their human dignity. Beyond Borders

My candle still burns for my dear Haiti, even in the midst of her darkest days. And along with so many Haitians, I remain hopeful that she can find her way out of this to a better place.
