#Dabke is a traditional form of dance in the Levant used in celebration, mourning, and protest. We welcomed Yaa Samar Dance Theatre! to our Queens space where they shared the practice of dabke with our youth.

Every day we welcome newly arrived migrants. Work authorization, English classes, translations, and food/clothing are some of the top requests. We must continue to push for equitable solutions at ALL levels that support immigrants seeking safety, security, and new opportunity.

It can be overwhelming to find mental health care services as a young immigrant in NYC.

For far too long the call for housing, work, health & support services for Black migrants have gone unheard.

Today, 1000+ Black immigrants and advocacy orgs like ACT showed up at NY City Hall to amplify their voices and make their concerns heard!

Migrants are still waiting overnight without shelter beds in NYC.

That's more than a week after the court-ordered deadline to cut the wait time.

And City Hall STILL hasn't provided data on the # of migrants waiting -- to Legal Aid, or reporters.
