You screw working class steel workers when you allow a white collar metropolitan, middle class Labour Party to turn British industrial energy costs into the most expensive in the world in pursuit of a bourgeois obsession with net zero.

Mad Ed strikes again. Now the tax payer will need to pay to keep steel production in this country. He is destroying our industry & driving up ever increasing energy prices.......

The nauseating hypocrisy of E Miliband is jaw-dropping. He and his kind across the political class — Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, SNP — promoted the very energy policies that lumbered Britain with the highest industrial energy costs in the world, making industries like steel

Entrepreneurs create the jobs - ultimately society depends on them. Drive them away - as Labour are doing with ever higher taxes and more regulations - and we all suffer.

Renewable energy in Britain is a scam at vast cost to the taxpayer. No wonder the various vested interests are fighting tooth and nail to keep the NetZero madness going.

Think season 4 was the best Jeremy Clarkson Farm yet. The pain and gain of good hospitality is well worth a watch.. not least the horrific regulatory burden facing those who just want to give others a good time — hate to think what NICs rise has done to those shaky margins too

If you can be bothered to read through it. Then please do. This is the heartache I’m dealing with and it’s becoming less and less viable. Imagine making 850k a year in sales. And can’t make a penny. Not even lying. Not a single penny. I’m broken.

So sick of fighting…we create jobs, HMRC income, we create community, support charities & the High St, yet we are fighting Gov, Councils, treated like bloody criminals at every turn and when you try something new, you’re fighting your neighbours! I give up! Only I don’t! Obvs!

The current Chancellor is overseeing more devastation in Hospitality, than during Covid. She needs replacing with someone who will support and understand the importance of the UKs 5th biggest sector. Over 80,000 job losses on her watch since her Budget. Mainly young people.

When will the government tell us how much extra we pay for electricity to have wind and solar backed up by gas instead of using more gas? How much extra CO 2 do all the extra resulting imports produce as high energy costs drive industry abroad?

Luke Johnson (@lukejohnsonrcp) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We already have plenty of hospitality zones. Unfortunately they are being crippled by taxes - National Insurance, business rates, VAT, alcohol duty etc. These headlines from govt are displacement activity while they annihilate the hospitality business with costs.

It’s just gone half nine at night, and I’m still at it planning van routes for tomorrow’s deliveries, getting ready for another early start. But before I call it a night, I just want to say something very important… Massive respect to all the small business owners out there.

We have an amazing Hospitality industry in the UK. If you want growth Keir Starmer then put us on a level playing field and see what we can achieve then!

We are governed by a pathetically weak PM who is merely the puppet of woefully inept senior politicians hellbent on living out their ideological fantasies at any cost whilst making the private sector ‘pay’ for having the audacity of daring to dream.
