A sermon is not a performance, something you watch. A sermon is something you enter, you join, a journey you participate in. A sermon is not something one person does, but a community creates together.

The Greek word that we translate as "preaching" is dialogizomai, which means to have a "dialogue" or "conversation" between people. The gospel was first communicated in a kinetic, participatory Eastern style of table-conversation which was dominated by questions and answers.
